'Why do you
have a $5 order minimum on your web site?'
Our goal is to provide
the best prices and the best service to our customers. In order
for us to keep our costs low, we have to maintain an order minimum
so we can cover the costs of operation. We do take orders under
$5 via our toll-free number, but there is a handling fee that makes
up the difference to $5 to help cover these costs. (i.e. a $3 order
would have a $2 handling fee)
'Why don't you offer US Mail as a shipping
option on your web site? It would be so much cheaper for my small
order!'
We understand that for some orders
shipping US Mail is a cheaper option. However, in order to keep
the costs on our batteries low we do not offer this option online
because of the added overhead cost associated with shipping a US
Mail package.
For more details about our US Mail policy, please see our policies
page. You may request first class mail in the comments section
of your order and if the order is lightweight and small enough to
fit in a padded envelope we will make the change for you.
'Do you ship
to APO addresses?'
Yes. We do ship to APO
addresses, but we can only ship via US Priority Mail.
'Do you ship Internationally?'
Yes. We ship Internationally, but
we have a $150 miniumum for International orders. Please see our
Policies.We require credit
card authorization form to be filled out and faxed (or emailed)
back to us and a bank wire transfer payment for International
orders over $300.
We send the credit card authorization form or
bank details upon acceptance of a quote from you.
'Can I use a Purchase
Order online?'
Yes, but it will be honored only if
you have been previously approved for credit. Please submit an application
for Net 30 first. Right Click to Download
Application
'I heard you sometimes
have coupons. How do I get these?'
We sometimes send coupons in our monthly
newsletter. If you would like to receive this newsletter, you can
subscribe by going to our sign
up page to sign up.
What is the difference
between the different rechargeable batteries?
Please see our 'Did
you know' page for a detailed overview of rechargeable batteries
What is 'memory effect'?
Memory effect is found in primarily
NiCad batteries and it slightly affects NiMH batteries as well.
After numerous charges and discharges, the battery begins to develop
a memory. If you do not completely discharge the battery before
its next charge it may shorten the life of your battery.
Some newer chargers have conditioners that remove
the memory effect. If your charger does not have a conditioner
you can accomplish a similar effect by power cycling your battery.
Fully charge, and fully discharge the battery several times.
The good news is that both the NiCad and the NiMH
chemistries are improving and the memory effect is lessening.
